Vehicle Description 5-speed 1979 Fiat 124 Spider 2000 I bought this car in January with a blown head gasket and a bad exhaust.
Since then I have replaced the head gasket, timing belt and tensioner pully, water pump, alternator (65A), radiator fan switch (new one is low temp), exhaust side valve cover, valve cover gaskets, fuel pump, fuel filters, spark plugs (with new copper plugs), oil (with zinc for the engine), coolant, and transmission fluid.
I also upgraded the drivability of the car by installing a brand new Weber 32/36 dfev carburetor (bought from Mark Allison), as well as a new exhaust system.
It now has a fully unrestricted 4-2-1 header/downpipe with a custom welded pipe to the muffler.
The body and paint are a 9.
5/10 with the only issues being some minor rust on the bottom of the rear bumper and a couple scratches in the paint on the rear right quarter.
The interior is a 9/10 with the only issues being a faulty hazard switch that cuts power to the radio (easy fix), and a small hole in the plastic window of the top cover (not pictured).
Black leather seats are comfortable and in pristine condition.
The trunk is painted matte black in homage to the 124 rallye cars.
All 5 gears work great and it has a lot of shove for a car with 90 hp.
The PO replaced the radiator and thermostat and the car has never overheated on me.
69,975 miles on it.
Asking $11,000.
