Director of Creative ServicesRemote opportunity for residents of OR, WA, ID and UT Primary Job Purpose The Director, Creative Services inspires and drives creating thinking across a variety of projects.
The role's primary responsibility is to direct and lead the company's centralized creative services team, along with key projects from third-party agency partners and related vendors.
This role oversees key internal stakeholder projects, develops and/or implements creative strategies and tactics, and ensures desired outcomes are achieved.
The Director, Creative Services oversees the creative team and its work, from start to finish, and is responsible for fostering the team's growth and development, helping them deliver their best work.
This position is a member of the Marketing Leadership Team (MLT) and utilizes strong understanding of business and consumer priorities to effectively manage deliverables.
General Functions and Outcomes Strategic leadership:
Develop and continue to evolve a creative vision that supports overall brand strategy and objectives Collaborate with the MLT and internal customers across the organization to continue bringing our brands to life (corporate, health plan, etc.
) Provide collaboration and leadership in partnership with Marketing Operations around development of processes and systems to expedite execution and delivery of creative work and assure ROI Creative Direction & Execution:
Lead and inspire the creative team; foster a high-performing, collaborative, Cause-drive work environment Oversee the concept development and execution of creative campaigns, ensuring they effectively communicate, deliver our brand promise and engage our target audiences Review and provide ongoing feedback to creative work product; continue to evolve and lead a process by which quality and consistency are assured Provide final approvals on key creative deliverables In Partnership with Other Marketing Teams:
Lead the creative development of business-to-business and business-to-consumer marketing, outreach and engagement campaigns including brand and product-level promotions and stakeholder outreach, ensuring that creative output is on par or above competitive landscape standards and customer expectations Manage the development of advertising and promotional campaigns that are focused on differentiating brand, LOB and product offers in the marketplace and are focused on supporting sales goals and furthering brand health Create strong relationships and cross-functional processes with peers in marketing, clients and with other communication partners throughout the organization (Digital, Strategic Communications, etc.
) Minimum Requirements Competencies and Knowledge:
Proven experience (10
years) providing creative direction and leadership in an in-house creative services environment or third-party agency Experience with complex healthcare organizations is strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to translate brand strategy, business goals and objectives into multi-channel, digital-first, compelling creative campaigns Ability to manage multiple large internal stakeholder accounts, helping to inform marketing strategy with a specific emphasis on brand, creative direction and implementation Ability to partner across a matrixed organization (within and outside of Marketing) to lead creative solutioning around a variety of business problems and opportunities Excellent collaboration and leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire teams Strong understanding of marketing technologies (e.
g.
, DAMs, workflow tools) and their strategic use to further sales and marketing goals Outstanding communicator, using multiple formats with a proactive enthusiastic approach Able to advocate for creative teams, clients and ultimately for consumers Normally to be proficient in the competencies listed above:
The Director, Creative Services will have a Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Graphic Design, Creative Writing or a related creative field, Master degree preferred and a minimum of 10 years' experience in creative services, with at least 8 years of progressively responsible experience.
